My Platform

Having asked everyone I know what they think of the direction and speed of growth in Spanish Fork, I haven't come across a single person who likes it, agrees with it, or would have allowed it given the choice. Whether you think differently or whole heartedly agree with me, I would love to hear what you have to say.

Supporters Discuss The Issues

Four key priorities for Spanish Fork's future

Halting Growth

Managing Spanish Fork's previously mismanaged and rapid growth thoughtfully. To repair and preserve our community character and quality of life.

  • • Moratorium on new developments
  • • Ending use re-zoning and land annexations
  • • Green & rural space preservation
  • • Anything within the city's power to stop should be stopped

Transportation

Working to fix the broken traffic flow and studying what options we have to reduce the damage already done.

  • • No more "Traffic Calming" designs, AKA curb extensions and roundabouts
  • • Diverting Traffic away from Highway 6
  • • Maze like parking lots have got to be stopped
  • • Reduce commute backups and stress as much as possible

Economic Growth

Economic growth shouldn't benefit international banks and corporations alone. The economy should serve the people of Spanish Fork first!

  • • Small business support
  • • Downtown revitalization
  • • No more bending over backwards to help Amazon, Walmart, etc
  • • Multi-family housing development needs to STOP!

Public Safety

Spanish Fork's priority should be it's long standing residents, not newcomers from other states and countries.

  • • Focused policing on immigration violations
  • • Parks and recreation improvements
  • • 2nd Amendment sanctuary and promotion of shooting sports
  • • Extreme fines for businesses and housing developments causing pollution and litter (Local businesses will be catered to)

Prioritizing Quality of Life and Legacy

If a policy doesn't clearly benefit the city's residents in 50 or 100 years from now, it shouldn't happen!

Studies

With the levels of growth and mismanagement Spanish Fork has already faced, we are going to have to look into long term solutions very carefully

Investment

Spending money to get to the correct answer rather than the easy one will help keep Spanish Fork special and pay off ten fold in the future

Spanish Fork First

Spanish Fork and it's citizens are the first priority in every decision – not international investment banks and land developers looking to exploit the area
